Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!
Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:
El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.
Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.
On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?
On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way.

Ah Ha.........I caught you posting something.
Sure miss your blogging........and photographs.
I just like groundhog day. And the news of an early spring is AWESOME.
I have been involved in lots of projects at home (none of them photographic). The basement is being turned into a wonderful living space complete with functional fireplace, new furniture, a sound system, a fridge/freezer (must hand a big screen TV. 47" Hi Def 1080P flat panel LCD with upconvertor DVD, Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and hidef/digital channels. It is soooooo sweet. We also have an new furnace/ac/airhandling system with humidifier, air filtration system and germ zapper, and a new heat pump. Lots of home and entertainment improvements.

Are you redoing the display room?!?! Save the space celing!!!!
Posted by: David on February 5, 2007 10:37 AMAll,
The saga of heat pumps. Well, our heat pump was only 6 years (or so) old. We have been going through heat pumps on average every five to six years and we just found out why. Because the piping/tubing that was installed when the house was built was barely up to code twenty years ago. The tubing was three sized too small and barely enough to support a large sized window AC unit. The heat pumps being installed at our home were also low end contractor grade. Because of the inadequate plumbing and wiring we have been stressing our heat pumps and that stress has reduced their life span from 15+ years to maybe six. WELL NO MORE! All new plumbing, tubing, piping, wiring, air handling system and big ass York heat pump. The house is the warmest it has ever been.
Daveed,
The starfield ceiling and spaceship diarama is remaining intact. Some of the ships have been moved and a string of lights needs to be replaced, but it's staying. It's way too cool and impressive.
Lt. Dan,
Jenne and I miss you guys very much. You guys are the best - neighbors - EVER!!! Hope to see you all soon.
Now that makes sence!!!! The copper piping was way too small and the would surley overstress the compressor. I knew they kept blowing out at your place! Sounds like the great mystery has been solved. I would recomend the Trane line of heatpumps myself. Real big work horses.
