Mask of the Green Death
Again, Halloween was great fun. I sat on the porch with a large bowl of candy in my lap. Of course I was all in black, wearing this delightful mask and skeleton hand gloves. My black Jedi Knight cloak and hood covering me. Year four and the kids still love it. Some of them still will not approach, no atter how sweet and inticing the candy. Many that I have scared in years past are still scared and wonder aloud if this is the year where the ghoul on the porch is really a mannequin and I might be lurking in the bushes, ready to pounce! This year the evening went off without a hitch. No incidents, just fun times and scares! I even ended it with a little trick or treating of my own at a new neighbor's house. They treated me with a beer!
The fog machine and glowing Lord of the Rings sword are a big hit, but the biggest hit this year is the skeletal finger gloves. In the dim light they really do look like boney hands and subtle movements simpley add to the creepy effect.
Next year I must make an effort to add to the scene. A few tombstones, some spider webs and erie music - maybe Tubular Bells on a loop - would certainly up the ante! BRUHAHAHAHAHA!
