Shadow Self Portrait
That's my shadow on the sand and surf of Ocracoke Island in North Carolina's Outer Banks. This is one of the only photos of me on vacation. I say one of the only because Jenne has a few of on the clothing optional beach! By the way, if you want to see and enjoy the Outer Banks go now and many more times over the next ten years. With the ferocity & frequency of hurricanes on the rise (scientists are predicitng that will have to creat a Category Six soon) and global warming, they will eventually vanish. Just being a reallist here.
Life - despite global warming - is good. Work continues to go well and I am liking it. How much have I been liking it? Let's just say that I haven't bitched once about working OT or on a Saturday. I even worked last Saturday! Yeah, you read correctly. I don't bitch about working OT or weekends. Now that's a switch because for any of my previous jobs (except for Claritas) I wouldn't work OT or weekend and would make it loud and clear to my coworkers and bosses. What effected this change? Two things. Being appreciated at work and getting paid time and a half. That makes a WHOLE lot of difference. speaking of work here's some things I heard just this week from customers
1. I can't thank you enough for your patience with this old man
2. Thanks for the help and the computer education.
3. I'm sorry I was nasty there at the beginning. You were very helpful and patient, and I appreciate your help.
4. Will, you're a magician! A real computer magic man! Thanks a lot.
5. Oh Will! Allelluia Allelluia, my compuer works again thanks to you.
You have to love hearing those things at work.
