Royal Guard
It is now official. Thanks to the efforts of my good friend,
Clark Oliver, I now have a complete and pretty close to screen accurate, Imperial Royal Guard costume. Clark made the force pike from a $15 fishing rod, and he refinished my Don Post helmet. Originally the helmet was a totally innaccurate maroon colour and the visor was too small. Another good friend,
Tom Atkinson, made the red outer robe back in 1997 (I think it was '97). There are notes attached to the photo, just click the photo to go to Clark's Flickr page and you can view the notes. Anyway, now I can join Clark in
the 501st and the Old Line Garrison. Between us we have a total of five Star Wars costumes. Darth Vader, Storm Trooper, Royal Guard, Rebel Fleet Trooper and Han Solo. Soon we will increase that number to six, as Clark and I are working on an X-Wing pilot uniform. Total Star Wars geek out! May the Force be with you and us.

I also have an Imperial officer, TIE pilot and naval trooper in the pipeline.
Don't tell Kim.
Well that's a pretty creative use of a fishing rod! Looks good - especially the boots.
Clark, um, I'm pretty sure Kim can read so I'm guessing the cat's out of the bag :-)
May the force be with you guys!
Tea,
I don't think that Kim reads our blogs. Too geeky for her.
Clark, guy code is in effect. Repeat, guy code is in effect! Set condition one throughout the ship!
That is all.
B A D A S S !!!
Nice job Clark, Tom, Will
Star-Boy LIVES!
