Battlestar Friday SUPER CYLON AND TOY ISSUE 02.24.06

I have good news everyone! There will be toys from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica and they will hit store shelves July 2006! Right now it's confirmed that there will be 3" models of the Viper Mark II, Cylon Raider and Galactica. There will also be a larger Galactica with retractable landing bays! SWEET! There are photos of the BSG toys here. Yes, I do want these toys.

Tonight's Episode, #218, DOWNLOADED
This is the long awaited Cylon point-of-view episode! Cylon society is revealed when a Cylon's consciousness is downloaded into a new body following its death. How much of Cylon society will be revealed? Will we learn more about their reasons for wiping out the colonies, what they hope to achieve by breeding with humans, and what their religion is all about? Do they have their own personal Jesus? We'll have to wait and see. So, a Cylon consciousness is 'downloaded' (AKA resurrected) into a new body. Recall that the Cylon Resurrection Ship following the fleet was destroyed a few episodes ago. Is there another Resurrection Ship, or will this episode take place on Cylon occupied Caprica (we haven't been there in a long time) thereby avoiding the whole Resurrection Ship issue? Will it be a Cylon model we know, or is a new model being introduced? I am sure that Ron Moore (all bow) and his cast and crew have a wild ride ahead for us! I have some speculation, but this week I am keeping it to myself. Maybe I will bury it in the comments of an old Battlestar Friday entry. So say we all.
