OMG! That is wrong on SO many levels! That dog could just leap right out that window into traffic - what can this person be thinking of? They make all kinds of safe restraints for dogs to ride in cars - many of them aren't even that expensive. I realize this dog probably jumped forward from the back seat (Winston occassionally tries to do that, but, at 200lbs its a no go. Results in a great deal of drool on the console though) but if your dog isn't trained to stay in the back then you HAVE to have some kind of restraint. Scarey.
Posted by: tea on February 13, 2006 06:09 PMYou'll notice the dog has a leash on and the driver has one hand holding the leash. That means one less hand on the steering wheel. If she needs to keep poochie manually restrained, he's going to go flying when she has to let go and make an evasive maneuver. Because she's paying more attention do the dog than driving.
Would you feel sorry for her if doggie died, when it lept from the car, because she let go of the leash to do what she's supposed to be doing behind that wheel? I wouldn't.
Driving is a privelage, not a right. At least have some sense while navigating a 1 ton vehicle with others on the road.
Take it from a highly accident-prone individual.
Posted by: SteveK on February 14, 2006 11:17 AMThis ass-clown woman needs to have her dog taken away from her and given to a responsible and truly caring pert owner. She also needs to have her license and vehicle taken away. She is never to be allowed behind the wheel of a motor vehicle again. It's a good thing she doesn't live on Planet Will.
