The Life of a Brit Living in Japan as an Imperial Storm Trooper

Yeah, you read the title of this entry correctly. Danny Choo is indeed a Brit, living/working in Tokyo. One of his many cool geek hobbies is "Trooping". Meaning that he wears his Imperial Storm Trooper armor out and about in Tokyo! He even wears it to ride the trains. If he did that in the uber paranoid terrah-phobic United States he would probably be arrested or even shot. May the Force be with you Danny!

Also very amusing are Storm Trooper Ramen and Storm Trooper Haircut!

So Clark, what do you think? Wanna get together, put on the Vader and Stormtrooper costumes and do some trooping of our own? We'll stay off the trains of course.

That's falling a bit too close to "The Commander*" for my taste.

Also Danny needs to get rid of his bobblehead AFX bucket and get a nice TE or GF.

*the crazy Trekker chick who wears her uniform all the time, even to jury duty.

Is the 'Commander' woman any worse than the dweebs that wear the sports jersey - AKA, team uniform - of thier favorite player everywhere?

Clark, you're sounding a wee touch elitist ;-) Only hardcore TKs, like you my friend even know the subtle differences in Storm Trooper buckets. Even I don’t know, and we share a brain!

It's very interesting that you take a jab at "The Commander", but still have enough respect to call her a "Trekker" and not a "Trekkie".

I think another look at this is in order:

WE ARE ALL GEEKS! Anyone who can identify an Imperial Stormtrooper, let alone the manufacturer of his helmet, counts as a geek to the vast mundane population. Accept it. Embrace it. Live it. Love it. Throw off your chains, kick open the closet door, and let your light shine before men.

The world, and your world, will be the better for it.

AMEN and rAMEN Thomas.

I admit that I would - if I owned it - put on my Storm Trooper gear every now and then and walk around old town Ellicott City. Hell, I drive a Star Wars MINI and I am damned proud of it!

MTFBW us all.
