Is Photography Becoming Illegal? A Followup Entry

On Flickr, I am a member of many diverse photographic groups. Apart from having photography in common, we are all also very concerned not only about our rights as photographers, but what we can and can not photograph, such as subways, trains, planes and ships to name a few. You thought I was going to say automobiles, didn't ya? Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation that goes around in the forums. You know the sort. "Well, I heard on another forum that there's a ban on subway photography. No, I don't have the link, but I am sure it must be true."
Or
"My friend Chuck on the Aviation forum said a guy on another forum he reads was kicked out of a train station for having a camera. So there must be a ban on train station photography."
What really irks me is that these stories and the misinformation they contain is spread as fact. None of these people will take a few minutes to do a little research on the Internet, the same Internet they are using to spread misinformation. Apparently, fact finding is too hard. Well, here's another PSA - this time a Photography Service Announcement - from BDTH. GO TO THIS SITE, MY PHOTOGRAPHY SISTERS AND BROTHERS, AND START DOWN THE PATH TO PHOTOGRAPHIC TRUTH! Spread the misinformation no more!

Will,
Thanks so much for this link. When we change our lifestyles and start restricting freedoms of our citizens we are playing right into the hands of those that wish to do us harm. And for law enforcement to use vague insinuations to non-existent laws to suppress our freedoms turns this country into a police state just like those other countries that hate us for our freedoms. I have bookmarked this site and will share it with all my photographer friends.
