...my family. Today is the day that our branch of the Burnham family - my parents, my brothers, sister-in-laws and all the neices and nephews - get's together and exchanges Christmas gifts and share in a meal. We typically do this on a Saturday near Christmas. Sometimes before, sometimes after. It's not common practice for us to actually do this on New Year's Eve... it just happens to fall that way this year. My brother Richard's children recalled that my birthday is also next week - on January 4th to be exact - and they asked their mom & dad if we could also celebrate that today as well. The kids are so thoughtful and they love Jenne and I very much, and we them. Today will be a day that I spend mostly with them. We'll play games, have lightsaber battles and I will be one big kid amongst five of the smaller variety and we will have a great time.
