Piper Farm, Antietam National Battlefield
Another late afternoon photo I made recently while volunteering at Antietam. This is the historic Piper Farm, which served as the headquarters of Confederate General James Longstreet during the bloodiest day in all of American history. The Piper Farm was a Bed & Breakfast until about a year and a half ago. It is now a private residence and although it has historic significance it is not park property. You are looking south east and viewing the farm from just outside the visitor's center.
