Here we are at Halloween again –jebus, can you believe it’s already Halloween? - and as we all know, it’s one of my favorite holidays of the year. And again, I will be doing the same thing that I did last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. We all remember what happened last year! If not, you can click here and read the story.
Being that I have done this for a couple of years now, I suspect that the little boos and ghouls are on to my antics. Because I suspect that the gig is indeed up, I have added a glowing sword – no, not a light saber – and a fog machine to the repertoire. When the costumed kiddies approach I will give them a blast of fog and activate the glow sword! I suspect that I will still give them a decent fright. Once I give them my trick, I will hand out the treats. Jenne reminded me that my goal is too give out ALL of the candy and not to frighten the little creatures of the night so much. Yeah, right. You see, she always buys five bags of candy and the first year I did the scare routine I only gave away – maybe – three bags. We had a lot of leftovers that we didn’t need. Last year she bought the same amount of candy and I actually only ‘officially’ gave away three bags, that being given away in equal amounts to each child brave enough to approach. The last few kids were given handfuls of sweets just to get rid of it. It’s not what Jenne had in mind, but I did meet her goal of giving it all away. You see, she was not specific as too how or how much to give to each child. She left that detail up to me, so I can’t be blamed. It’s sweet how that works. But do you know the real scary part about Halloween? It’s that there’s only eight weeks from now until Christmas!
Isn't that when you ENTRAPPED that kid?
Sorry Daveed, button is too big and shiny not to push.
Please don't kill me. It's all Will's fault after all!!!!
Posted by: mm on October 31, 2005 01:55 PMI expect the Viet Cong, I mean the Korean Mafia, to conduct a surprise attack on the Burnham residence around 6:30 pm EDT. This, in retaliation for the staff incident of last year.
A year to physically grow and a year to mentally fest over the confiscation of the staff, should provide for some action. Perhaps, a new Play Station video can portray the carnage. I hope Red5 XW and my house are spared any colleteral damage. "Re really rissed roff at ru, rackoff", can be the expected greeting.
As I witness the event from my secure location, "I'll see you in C-U-B-A." Happy Halloween!!!!
Lt. Dan,
The three costumed individuals from last year were caucasion males. I expect no problems. So I hear that your boy is dressing as that flamer from Fantastic Four! What's his name? Heat Miser? The Flamer? Something like that.
Peace out and happy Halloweenie!
--Will
I had never read last year's entry. But it reminded me of something hilarious.
Friend Scott Maple dressed as a Nazgul for the ROTK premiere in Toronto, and it was documented by a TV show in Canada called PRANX. Without giving too much away, I'll just provide the link to the video: http://kropserkel.com/Images/Kropserkelwraithvideo1sm.wmv
*plug* Be sure to tour the site, there are many excellent props and costumes to be seen! www.kropserkel.com
