The Worst Way to Spend Saturday Morning...

... or mid day or afternoon is having to clean the house. Argh! Over the past few months I have made it easier to do with the purchase of every Swifter Duster product made. Dusting is still a chore, but it's a chore made ten times easier with SDs. The other thing that has made dusting easier is that we no longer have all sorts of nik-nak items sitting around. Since I am doing the dusting - and vacuming - I will not tolerate dozens of chatzkies that need to be moved so I can dust a surface. Not that the surface under the chatzkies gets dusty, so why move them in the first place? I say put a little piece of double sided tape on the bottom and dust around them (or, if you're a redneck, use a leaf blower). Not that Jenne and I ever had dozens of them sitting around to begin with. It's just now we have even less of them. Jenne and I aren't into all those little peices of Americana crapola, like little lighthouses, decorative bottles, miniature horses, Hummel figurines and the like that a lot of people have. Mostly grandmothers in houses that have that 'old person' smell of Ben Gay ointment. Me, I prefer Star Wars figures and they are in the basement... in my domain, and they get dusted once or twice a year when I feel really motivated. Anyway, I must start my cleaning and the way I typically start is to have a pint of beer, get a good buzz going and then put my iPod ear buds in. Time to be off to the fridge. Ummm beer.
