Maybe you have heard by now that actor Don Adams passed away on Sunday from a lung infection. He was best known as Maxwell Smart, AKA Agent 86 in the popular Mel Brook's/Buck Henry spy comedy, Get Smart. As a kid I watched Get Smart whenever it was on and his catch phrases of "Missed me by that much" and "Would you believe...?" became part of my language, as it did for many of us who watched the show. Adams also did a lot of voice work in children's cartoons. He was the voice of Inspector Gadget and also of a wise cracking penguin named Tennessee Tuxedo! I have to thank Prof. Pan for sending me the link to Toon Tracker. Seeing Tennessee Tuxedo and the other cartoons listed on that page brought back a flood of great childhood memories. We'll miss you Don, but thankfully you'll live on on DVD!
I grew up with Maxwell Smart...explains some things I suppose...like why I had a "spy headquarters" in the basement when I was about 9 years old.
