Oh Where, Oh Where Could My Season One DVD Be?

I have never had so much difficulty trying to buy a DVD in my life. I have been to the following stores

Two Targets (four times)
One BJs (twice)
Two Toys R Us (yes, they sell movies and they were in shopping centers I was in anyway)
One Border’s Book and Video
One Blockbuster Video
One Sun Coast Video
One Comp USA
One Circuit City
One FYE
One Best Buy

Battlestar Galactica Season One was no where to be found. None of the stores’ employees had even heard of Battlestar Galactica! What the FRAK!? Look, don’t go into giving me some sort of explanation about their being young and not watching SciFi (either the genre or the network). No excuse for not knowing about one of THEE hotest and best shows on present TV, as far as I am concerned. Okay, so back on track here. I will say that the employee that helped me at each store was very helpful and did look it up in the store’s inventory system only to tell me that it wasn’t listed. WASN’T LISTED? Each store had tons of copies of each season of Dukes of Hazard though. Best (AKA Worst) Buy and FYE had a couple of copies, but I am not paying fifty bucks per. This is the first time that this has ever happened to me when I wanted a DVD and I am very perplexed by it. Well tonight I said screw it and ordered two copies from Amazon. One copy is a fortieth birthday present for Steve-o (he’s known for almost a month, so it’s no secret) and one is of course mine and they will be here in two days. So say we all.

If we remember correctly, you did't purchase the dvd at amazon because it was 2 bucks cheaper at target. Lots of time and gas down the drain, huh? Anyway, enjoy it once you get it.

We got our copy at Best Buy this weekend. Even though the price on the DVD set was listed as $49.99, at the register, it rang up at $42.99!
So say we all.

Nope, no gas down the drain because all of the stores were in shopping centers that Jenne and I had to go for something else, and one of the Target stores is right on my way home. No real time lost either because I didn't have any time period long enough to sit and enjoy an episode. I spent most all of my time over the weekend working on the artwork for my MINI Cooper, which I have to turn in the end of this week.

So says the graphics guy.

That's some shit-ass luck there. Congrats on getting 'em, though, dude. Best Buy did have a special on 'em the first week, $42.99, even though they were marked $49.99.

Another reason to dislike Worst Buy. When they advertise an exclusive it's really no exclusive at all, and then, when they have a sale on something they don't advertise it. In the words of Stan Marsh, "DOOOOOOD, that's pretty FuBEEPed up right there."

So say we all.
