There's No Place Like Home

Jenne just called me about ten minutes ago from HOME! She's back from her ten-day Canadohio vacation to visit family, fish for walleye with her dad and brothers, and play friendly games of cards for money (hopefully American $$ and not that Canadian script). She left her brother's place in Ohia (yes, the natives pronounce it Ohia) at 5:30 AM and she parked the car in front of our home at 2:30 PM. I'll see her around 5:00 and we'll go to dinner.

Jenne and I had a nice reunion last night. Her uncle gave her a lot of home canned fruits, vegetables and pickles! She brought back lots of black & white photos from her childhood (mostly ages 2 through fourth grade and a few from her high school years) and as soon as I can pick up a scanner I will start posting some on this site. Her favorite photos are of her and her German Shepard, Fritzie. She also brought back Fritzie's pedigree papers, which she has wanted for a long time. He was a pure bred German Shepard trained by a man who spent his entire life training dogs and who was even awarded a medal from Hitler for training dogs. The papers are in German and dated 1952, Fritzie's year of birth. After we looked through the photos we went to Luna Bella Restaurante in Ellicott City for dinner. Afterwards we had a nice evening at home.
