Map Madness

I admit that I am totally hooked - adicted if you will - on the latest Google related creations and a Google fan site, and being that I like to share enthusiastic madness with others I present to you the following time sink links of map madness.

Need an excellent map and directions? Out of the way Map Quest and come on down Maps.Google.Com. Type in an address or any location into the search field and press your [Enter] key. Be sure to click the button in the upper right of the map window that reads, "Satilite". Hours of staring fun.

Want to see satalite images that caught planes in flight, interesting geographic features, or Area 51 and other map weirdness then go right away to the fan site and repsoitory of map goodness, Google Sight Seeing Dot Com

And last, but certainly not least... not at all... is EARTH.GOOGLE.COM. I saved the best for last. Believe me, Google Earth is fracking awesome. Go now and download it. Hours of Earth roaming fun, and you can virtually spin the globe. Weeeeeeee.

If you like Google Earth, you can also take a look at NASA's World Wind program. Unknown if there's a Mac version, but it's got a similar interface, and combines imagery from multiple satellite and aeronautical platforms.

Rob, Thanks for the extra link to fuel my obsession! LOL! Man I love maps and satilite imagery. Of course the first thing I did with all of these was to look for our own home, Ocracoke Island, friends' homes, downtown B-more, and historical sites. I also like looking at airports, military bases, ships at sea, planes in the air, and NASA. It's amazing what one can find and see.
Peace,
--Will

The fall to earth when you "fly" someplace is super cool...I felt like I was getting sucked into the screen! Earth Google rocks!
