A few scenes from one of our shopping trips around the village of Ocracoke.

An umbrella provided some cool shade for shoppers and tourists along the waterfront.

A big draw of the Outer Banks is its many operating lighthouses. Many shops sell lighthouse souvenirs. Trivia question for you, what Outer Banks lighthouses are seen in this photo?

Many of the shops sold sun-catchers of all shapes, sizes and themes, mostly nautical in nature. We were at the beach afterall.

Down on the harbor front Jenne and I ate here. They make a good fish sandwhich and have a nice selection of beers. Ummmmm beer aarrrrrrr

A tall ship makes for a beuatiful piece of stained glass. Jenne loves stained glass and we found a lot of it in the Ocracoke Restoration shop, but we had no way to bring any of it home.

The sign on the door of Thai Moon carry-out . I love the little visual aids showing the levels of spice/hotness available. We had an excellent lunch at Thai Moon and we heartily recommend it.
Ultram.
Phentermine.
Love the subtle jab..."Thai hot" vs. "American hot". LOL.
Lighthouse quiz answer: Hatteras (diagonal stripes) and Bodie Island (horizontal stripes)lights.
Posted by: Jeff on June 21, 2005 08:22 AMDid you eat "thai hot" or "american hot"? sometimes I'll order stuff at the indian restaurant "10" - spiciest - just to see the looks on the faces of the waiters when I eat a goodly portion of it. Also, Ashook knows that I do this after 15 years and I think he wins little bets off the new employees for it.
