This entry rated HG-13 by the Academy of Gaming Arts and Sciences for its high geek factor. It is about fantasy role playing games - specifically the classic RPG, Dungeons and Dragons - and will not be of interest to everyone.
Although I have not written about it much in the past couple of months I am still role-playing on a weekly basis. My Northern Virginia Call of Cthulhu game is in a holding pattern because I needed a break from being the game master. It takes a lot of prep work to run an RPG. We will likely resume CoC in mid June. The Maryland Dungeons & Dragons game continues on unabated. Professor Pan is our game master and is running an excellent campaign for us. This week one of our players, Allison, AKA half-elf ranger Mira Darkstone took up quill and parchment and recorded the tale of our latest adventure for all to read. By the way, after this last adventure we have a vacancy in our adventuring party that needs filling.
Really.... a vacancy...hmmmmm
