Cherry Blossoms April 2005

The Washington Monument, Washington DC.

Welcome to my photo essay on the Washington, DC Cherry Blossoms April 10, 2005. Jenne and I went with Larry & Anne and had a wonderful time walking what must have been five miles through the blossoms. I hope you enjoy these photos and that if you have never been they will give you a taste of what it is like and a desire to go and see them yourself. It is well worth experiencing, but trust me when I say take the metro in. We did.

Clicking the link below will open a page with several images and it may take more than a few seconds to open. The images are in a slightly lower resolution than I usually make them, but I was taking into consideration my readers who use dialup. Enjoy.

Well thanks for the pictures, looks pretty, but (tell me about your Butt) I think I'd rather have bamboo stuffed under my fingernails than suffer DC during one more "big event". God do/did I hate when relatives would want to go to DC. Growing up this close has sure dimmed my view of the Capitol (and Gettysburg for that matter) that's for sure...plus my general dislike of my fellow human beings all smooshed together.

Are we having fun yet?

The year Jeff and I went it was not worth seeing...figures that this year it's absolutely gorgeous! Great photos! Especially the one of Jenne. Love her shirt - it blends right in with the blossoms!

I keep swearing that I'm going to make a cherry blossom run in DC one year, but it always happens when I don't have time to take a day and go down there...

Will,

The photos are great. Did you download them using your Apple or PC? They look different on each.

Nice photos. Looks like you had the place to yourselves too. ;-)

Will- Taking pictures of National Monuments and posting them on the internet has profiled you on the Homeland Security list as a potential resident of Guantanamo Bay. Load up on your two dollar bills and thank the 9/11 paranoia for your new status. Beware my friend.
