Three Day Weekend

I actually have Martin Luther King Jr. day off from work. I have never worked for a company before where I had this day off. No, I don't work for local, state or federal government. I work in the private sector where they expect results. Having MLK Jr. day off means I get to stay up late on Sunday night playing video games (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on my iMac. Thanks MM!), sleeping in late on Monday (ahh the bliss) and spend all day Monday playing games in my underwear and drinking beer. AND because it's a paid holiday from work I get paid to play those video games. Now, that's not only sweet... it's super sweet.

Damn you, Daveed. You beat me to the punch. You're still a bastard, Will. I'm sitting at my desk fighting these gnomes that try to pull my eyelids down...

Hello to will my wild the american fiend,

Habid is not to sure also that the will has had the day off? habid to think about it, your private sector is about the results. you to think you really had the day off? maybe it was the understood inside joke? habid to suggest that the will call to the office and to see if they are there.

always to wave the little american flag,
Habid

Hmm. Paid holidays. Now THAT is an advantage to the corporate world!!!

Now that's the life. A day off to play video games. I'm wishing my company wasn't run by racists. Apparently it is, as everyone I've talked to today and over the weekend, upon learning that I had to work today, proclaimed that I must work for racists. I can't say either way, but it sure does suck.

I just built a new gaming machine over the weekend and have Half-Life 2 sitting at home waiting for me. It's a modest distraction from what will inevitably be a lesson in escapism when the freakin' video game store finally gets World of Warcraft back in stock.
