Yesterday afternoon at 1:15 PM my doctor took one look in my right ear and said, "it's really red in there."
He checked my other ear, "red in there too", my nose, "hmm... more of the same", and my throat, "yep, you have it bad. Infection for sure. Likely viral." He listened to my lungs, which are clear.
"Well the infection is pretty bad, but you're in luck. The drug company rep was here this morning and left a load of samples, so I can save you money on the drugs and give you sample packs." That was nice of him. He's done this for me almost everytime I have seen him and with the price of perscription drugs I appreciate it. I told him so. He handed me a three day sample dose of Zithromax 500mg caplets. I took the first one yesterday with a Wendy's classic single (no chesse, lettuce, tomato, extra onions and mustard) and a diet Coke. No fries. Today I am back in the office. I am feeling better, but not 100%. Still coughing and sneezing and having a little vertigo/light headedness caused by the ear infection, but I am getting better. I brought Lysol sanatizing wipes and spray with me to work and have been using them at home. I don't want to pass this on to anyone else, so I am taking lots of precautions. As the saying goes, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
You've got republicans in your ears!
