Open, Ellicott City, MD 8.22.04, Nikon D70
Yesterday was the first time in over a month that I was able to spend an afternoon out just roaming around making photographs. The battle of the bulging disk had previously kept me inside and immobile most weekends, but some new exercises that my physical therapist has me doing are working out pretty well. Lynn & Will joined me yesterday for a day in Ellicott City. They were coming to town anyway to check out the Margarete Smith gallery, which is where the CMPG show will be held in October. After walking around town for about an hour we had a quick bite to eat at a little cafe, which is where I took the above image. We had a good laugh when Lynn thought the sign out front read, "half eaten chicken parmesan sub, 4.99." The handwriting on the sign was pretty poor, but the sandwhiches and onion rings were pretty good and so was the company. The photo outing was just what I needed and it was great to get out and give the new Nikon D70 a workout. Well I need to get to work. Have a great week everyone.
Glad to know you were able to get out and about :)
