Mother ~ Photo Friday Image for 07.23.04

A traditional family scene. Warms the heart doesn't it? Mother with a tray of fresh baked cookies - ummmm cookies arrrhhhhh - for the kids. Almost looks like a scene that Norman Rockwell painted... if he painted cartoon characters in bright primary colors that is. To me Marge Simpson is television's most famous and funniest mother. It's no D'OH that I love The Simpsons. The title of this photo is also the title of a season seven episode. This is my submission for this week's Photo Friday challenge of Mother. The above are action figures from my vast collection of Scifi, Fantasy and Simpson toys. They range in height from a little over 1 7/8" (Maggie) to 6" (Marge). The photo was taken with my Minolta Dimage 7i, 200mm macro, fully manual.

A nice picture.
We lost the Simpsons on terrestrial TV in the UK, (costs too much) it used to be one of the highlights of my week.....tuesdays 6pm.....mmmmmmmmmm.

haha. very funny. odd. i've seen quite a few simpson photos around, especially for 'father' themes where homer is the star. :)

I'm so glad you had a Simpson's reference in this issue of Burnham-Down-the-House. Now my Simpson's reference won't seem dated or mis-placed.
