You history and war movie buffs catch my title reference to the epic WWII battle in the Ardennes Forest between Allied and German forces. Well I am having my own personal battle of the bulge and it is being fought in my lower back. As of my MRI this morning it is official, I have a serioulsy bulged disk. The enemy has also reinforcements. My MRI report came back "abnormal". Seeing that stamped on any report about me actually comes as no surprise. Many folks think I am a bit abnormal. I think I'm a bit abnormal. The abnormality on the MRI is unusual swelling that is lower in my back than the bulged disk and the swelling is accompanied by what at this time can only be classified as, "unknown". That's right boys and girls... no one knows what it is, hence, I have a CAT scan scheduled for first thing tomorrow morning right after a barium milkshake. Umm milkshake arrrrrrhhhh. At present I would say that I don't know how or what I should feel about this. I am hoping - like my doctor - that it is simply an 'artifact' of the MRI. That is one of two positive outcomes. Yes, two! The second positive outcome is that the "unknown" is actually a symbiotic alien lifeform that gains nurishment from my spine and in turn gives me super powers far beyong the strenght and abilities of normal men! Hey, I can hope.
Just remember Will, when that symbiotic alien decides to "come out" it's going to leave one hell of a mark!

It was REALLY bad, trust me. Will can do better.
