Industrial Landscape
The industrial landscape is a common sight around the outskirts of large American cities. This one is on the southeast side of Baltimore on a peninsula of land between Baltimore's famous Inner Harbor to the north and the Patapsco River to the south. It is an area crisscrossed by railroad tracks, pipelines and pothole filled roads full of trains and heavy trucks carrying raw materials, chemicals and goods. Industrial landscapes tend to be overlooked by photographers because they aren’t as beautiful or appealing as more pastoral scenes. I think that industrial landscapes can be visually interesting for their many lines and shapes. They also reflect a very real part of city and suburban life. The above is my submission for this week's Photo Friday challenge of Landscape.

One of the things I like about your photos is that you're not afraid to take a risk. I wish more photographers had that trait! Thanks.
