5, 6, 7, 8's! It's the Crazy Eighty Eight!

I set a new commute record last night and this morning. Last night's commute was thirty-five minutes and this morning I broke that record... twenty minutes! Shortest commutes ever! How did I accomplish this feat? A jet pack? A speeder bike? Or blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated rocket car?

Nope. It was none of these. It was thanks to my good friends David and Apryl V. who live in Centreville, VA not to far from my BSNJ. They invited me over for dinner, a movie (a clue to the movie is in the title of this entry) and a place to crash. Dave and I met when I worked in Arlington, VA from 1996-2000. We were tech support reps back then and very often we told the customers to reboot the PC and run scan disk and defrag. I wonder if Habid tells customers about scan disk and defrag. Many the problems they solve. Anyway, we hadn't seen each other in over three years, although we have kept in touch via email and phone. He is exactly the way I remember him and it felt like we had just worked together yesterday. We reminisced about the 'good ole days' while grilling kabobs and pork chops out on the deck. After dinner we watched the movie. I'm not going to tell the title, I'm going to let you guess and unless you've seen the film it's not likely that you'll come up with the right answer. The movie was awesome and the action/sword fights were outstanding. It was everything I was told and I loved it. The visual style and direction were outstanding, and the soundtrack is a must own for me. It was just the film I needed to see. If I learned anything from this movie it's that the human body contains about forty-gallons of blood that sprays everywhere (ala Monty Python) when a person is stabbed or has their arms, legs or head cut off! It's also true that this movie does make a person want to own a Samurai Sword! After the film we called it a night and hit the sack and surprisingly it was at a reasonable hour. Something like 10:45 PM. Up this morning at 5:40. YIKES! Here at the office by 6:45 AM. DOUBLE YIKES! But now I get to pull out of the office and head for home by 3:45. That's not just schweet... it's super schweet! 5, 6, 7, 8's... leaving early is really great!

Thanks again David and Apryl!!!!!

Hello will my wild the american fiend.

Actually with much the testing we find that defrag the hard is drive and much scanning, is not usually the problem,

We haveto find that clear the temporary file and the cookie is usually a good is result.

My will, i let yu in a a little known secret. when the customer is to call for the problem we have a good idea of what is the wrong, usually the program is in the error. we buy the time to reboot many the PC. Then when ourlazy programmer stop eating the kabob and watching many belly dancers they fix the problem. American buy the new improved releae. we make more the money, the programmer get the free kabod lunch at the place of work.

but for poor the habid, the american still to call with the problem, see for the new is version has many the new bugs,

Habid then says,

Please to reboot the PC, Please to hold the power the off switch for 25 seconds then release (like that one!), then to clear the coookie and temporary file, every day on and the on.

Habid, try to speak much better english, come to the america and work in the Micky the Dee. "Habid is much to please to take the order of you" Will the old people to understand Habid?

Always, to reboot the PC

Habid

Thanks Habid!

If you know the movie leave your favorite quote, or who your favorite character is, or a brief description of your favorite scene. Don't write the title of the movie or the director.
Peace,
--Will

Hi Will --
Please tell your friend Habid that we all appreciate his comments on your website. We welcome him to our country and we understand if our language is difficult to learn...most importantly, we hope that he does not have to take the order of Willie-Don or The Gov anytime soon...
