Where in New Zealand is Middle Earth?

Have you ever been curious as to where Peter Jackson filmed the scenes for the LotR Trilogy in New Zealand? Have you ever been curious as to where New Zealand actually is? Well Eric Frost, editor of MP2K Magazine was and he made a map showing the geographic locations of the shooting sites. They are indeed all over the island nation. When you look at the map note how far apart Minas Tirith and the Pelennor Fields are! In fact Minas Tirith and Helms Deep are the same place! And the Dead Marshes are practically at the opposite end of the islands from Mordor! Gollum sure took the long way around to get Frodo and Sam to the Black Gate.
