On Saturday and Sunday October 18th and 19th I will be attending the annual Battle of Cedar Creek Re-enactment. This American Civil War re-enactment is the only one in the country to take place on the actual battlefield in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I am going for the sole purpose of photographing the two-day event. If you are local and would like to join me for this re-enactment please leave me a comment or send me an email so we can make arrangements to meet and maybe carpool together. This event and the location definitely make for excellent photo ops and the re-enactment is well attended by upwards of eight to ten thousand re-enactors. If the weather is predicted to be good for both days I am planning to stay for both. Otherwise I plan to be flexible and go on the day with the better conditions. Should rain be forecast for both days I will not be going.
Right now, it looks like a 30% chance of "scattered showers" both days. We'll see, though....
Posted by: GerenM on October 13, 2003 02:16 PM30% is not enough to stop me. They will have to predict showers ALL day to keep me from going. I am talking serious rain of Biblical proportions (well not really), but all day rain will keep me away.
