Another Civil War Photo Day

Up at 6:00 am and on a Saturday. I don't get up this early during the week for work. My normal wake up time is 7:30 and even I think that is too early! What I won't do for my love of photography and the American Civil War. At 6:30, Alan (buddy from work and fellow Civil War buff) will be here and then it's off to Harpers Ferry, WV. Today's mission, climb Maryland Heights. I've lived in Maryland my whole life, been to Harpers Ferry dozens of times, but I've never been to the top of Maryland Heights. That surprises even me. We'll also be stopping by Antietam. I am prepared; hiking boots, big new camera bag, my Nikon 6006 with a 28-300mm Sigma Hyper-Zoom, five rolls of Fuji Color 100, my Minolta Dimage 7i, two memory cards, lots of extra batteries, tripod, filters and other photo supplies. I also have a small cooler and bunch of bottled water (and a few beers). It's looking like another fine Civil War photo day.
