Sick Day

Stayed home sick today and the earliest I could get a doctor’s appointment is tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. I don’t know if what I have is a major allergy attack, a sinus infection or a nasty head cold. My ears, nose and throat all itch, my head keeps dripping ooze and the coughing and sneezing won’t stop. I’m thinking that tonight I should sleep on the futon and let Jenne get a solid night’s sleep. I know I woke her up more than a few times last night with coughing, hacking and disgusting sounding throat clearing. I don’t really thinks that it’s allergies this time. Mainly because my eyes don’t itch or burn, which is something that has always happened to me with previous attacks. I was also out around lunchtime and my symptoms are no worse for being outside. Also I have some fatigue this time around and that’s not something that accompanies an allergy attack. I don’t have a fever so I’ve ruled out SARS, even though I work for a company that gets daily overnight shipments from China. Who knows what they might be putting in those boxes besides toys. Speaking of China, my company and SARS, our owner and CEO is going over to China within the next week or so and he’ll be staying for a few weeks or a month. When he comes back, I say we shove him in quarantine just to be safe. Well, I'm off to take a nap.
